The way of being in the world has changed in so many ways.

The way we work has changed. How we earn livings has changed. Relationships changed. Some for the better, some not.

And how we do business has changed significantly. Succeeding in business is about you, how you do business, why you are in business and how you want to be going forward. It’s about passion and commitment to yourself and your bigger vision.

I believe when you have more balance, more success and more creativity in your business, your levels of fulfillment and happiness around your business will change!

Stress seems to be the way a lot of business owners and managers – actually most busy people – do life. It probably keeps you up at night, maybe waking up at 2am and the mind starts going. You may have a to do list happening in your head, you might be worrying about cash flow or a certain staff member.

Whatever it is that keeps your mind churning, that’s a key as to what needs some attention in your world.

I believe there are 10 different aspects of your business! Each and every one of these aspects deserves your attention and commitment.
  • Money, Cash Flow and Profitability
  • Structure Flow - your systems and processes within your business
  • Communication Styles with Staff, Clients, Suppliers and Contractors
  • Your Physical Environment Balance
  • Work Life Balance
  • Contribution and Making a Difference
  • Creating a Legacy - What are you Creating?
  • Your personal values and your business values
  • Passion and Vision for your Business
  • Passion and Vision for your Life
If any of these aspects are not working, then that’s where you need to focus your attention.
Problem and Solutions
Problem
I had a client who was just so overwhelmed with debt and money issues! He was a lawyer who was earning about $3 million a year. He was living the high life – had a great office, fancy car, luxe house and invitations to lots of events and parties. He referred to himself as one of the elite in the area! To all that looked on this client, he had it all! He came to me, depressed, stressed and wondering why he was doing what he was doing.
The Solutions Offered
One of the first aspects we worked on were the owner’s personal values and the values he wanted to focus his business on. This was a key for the other aspects of business.

His 3 personal values were Freedom, Happiness, Love and Peace. His business values were Freedom, Respect, Responsibility and Simplicity. We noted that Freedom was in both areas.

Then we looked at each of the other 9 aspects in his business.

We broke down the cash flow, cancelled subscriptions that were not being used, any excess expenditure we reduced. We looked at his staffing levels and who was doing what, we restructured some of his procedures so there was more flow. We worked on his communication skills with his staff, taught him about conscious listening and how to relate to staff in a new way. We introduced KPI and 3 monthly reviews so staff had an opportunity to speak up about any issues, new ways of doing things, what they were happy or not happy about, and any training or development they might desire.
We had a team exercise of going through all the offices, decluttering and freshening up the premises. It was a great office with great views. However little things like windows hadn’t been cleaned! In came the cleaners and window cleaners. We introduced essential oils to be burned throughout.

The atmosphere in the office was changed, and all the employees seemed to enjoy being in the space more.

There was more communication how to do things differently. We started a range of easy practical ways to improve the connection between everyone in the business, all which had the staff managers and owner flourishing and really enjoying the company of team mates. Staff were happier. And guess what happened. More clients and more sales – and that created more cash flow.

This business owner started having more time for himself, the stress dissipated and the new way of being with his staff and clients was a real win for him.

His relationships both within and outside of the business flourished!
